We are GDPR compliant

The law relating to data protection changed on 25th May 2018 when the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force.

Please read the following carefully to understand how I will treat and regard your personal data. By ‘I’, I am referring to myself the director of Thai Yoga Massage Exeter, Yarrow Wolfe.

Your Personal Data

I would like you to be informed about how I collect and handle your personal data. This includes your name, email address or social media identifiers, phone numbers. In other words, it covers any and all information about you that is capable of identifying you.

Under the GDPR I am ‘data controller’ of your information. I am called ‘controller’ because I make decisions about how your data is used – for example to prepare marketing materials – and I also ‘process’ your data when I carry out basic activities like storing, deleting and changing the information that I hold. I take my obligation to protect the information you give me very seriously, and I always take care when using and processing it.

Collecting, Using and Storing You Data

I collect the Information that you provide by filling in forms on my website or my booking system (which includes requesting further services). This information will be sent securely to my email address and is currently stored with GoogleContacts and Mailchimp and may include your phone number, name, email address and information about your health.

If you contact me by email, records of the correspondence may be kept securely with my email provider which is Google. If you contact me by Acuity scheduling (who are a booking software provider) the information will be kept in my account on their database. My computer logins are protected with a password.

If you call me with an enquiry about my services, your telephone number and name will be stored securely on my iPhone which is secured with a pass number.

If you are a personal client then I either collect your confidential personal information in person or via Acuity scheduling (who are my booking software provider who also comply to GDPS standards of privacy). Any written or printed information is stored by and can only be seen by me at my home.

By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. I will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

USES MADE OF THE INFORMATION

To provide you with information, products or services that you request from me or that I feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

You have the right to opt out at any point either using the unsubscribe button at the bottom of all newsletters or to email me with the words UNSUBSCRIBE. If you unsubscribe your information will be deleted from the MailChimp account and GoogleContacts

My site may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of my partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that I do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies.

We operate an ads program in partnership with third party vendors. As part of the operation of the ads program we use cookies to collect certain information. Advertising cookies enable us and our partners to serve ads and to personalise those ads based on information like visits to our sites and other sites on the Internet.
